Add a requirement
The requirements list generated in the ProductIP platform shows the requirements your product needs to fulfill to be compliant. If needed, you can manually add a relevant requirement to the requirements list.
Feature access
For Professional and Enterprise customers only, our regulatory team can add company specific requirements in our database, either as public or protected requirements.
Before you begin
Make sure that you know which requirement(s) you would like to add to the requirements list of which technical file.
Steps
- Open the technical file and go to the Requirements tab.
- Click Add Requirement on top left.
- Search for a requirement in the Find field with one key word (e.g. flammable) or the standard number (e.g. EN 71-2).
- Select the requirement you would like to add and click Add.
- You will find the added requirement in the requirements list with an orange M icon, which stands for “Requirement was added manually”.

Tips and best practices
- Click the blue information icon next to the standard to view more information about the requirement. The icon turns red after it has been clicked and turns blue again when you click it a second time.
- Use the drop-down menu to show up to 100 requirements per page.
Troubleshooting
- Why do I keep getting “no matching results”?
You can search on text that you think could be in the title or description of the standard / requirement or on the standard number. For text search, use one word only. Repeat search as many times as required.
- Why can I not add a requirement?
You can only add a requirement that has been published on or before the market release date of the product.
